Counterparts and Doppelgangers
Cerulean Arts is pleased to present Counterparts and Doppelgangers, guest-curated by Michael Gallagher. This exhibition features the work of James Havard (PAFA alumnus - Certificate '67, b. 1937) who has been making paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures for over five decades. The six additional artists (four recent PAFA graduates and two current students) included in the exhibition share a similar aesthetic sensibility with the work of Havard. All exhibit an intuitive, direct and playful approach to their process and imagery, resulting in works that appear modest, yet offer a wealth of imagery with mysterious open-ended narratives.
